Portrait of Dan Woychick

I am a designer and creative strategist with more than 30 years experience helping people tell compelling stories backed by incisive research and whip-smart strategy.

Most creative professionals never received the support or training to run a sustainable and profitable business. Over the years running my own firm, I have learned a few things that could help with that.

I invite you to join me for this workshop. Level up your skills, become recognized as an expert practitioner, and deliver more successful outcomes for you and your clients.

I had the pleasure of working for Dan early in my career, and so much of what I’ve learned, I’ve learned from him. He is naturally curious and seeks to understand human behavior so that what he produces always reaches people where they are. – Seth J. (Design Program Director)

Dan is much more than a designer. He’s a strategic thinker, a marketer, a problem solver and a very solid business guy. He gets the big picture, but he also knows that success lies in the details. – Chris R. (Chief Strategy Officer)

Dan Woychick is a proven leader, a questioner of the status quo, instigator of action, and goals achiever. A professional relationship with Dan will up your game and demand the best of you! – Heather O. (Inclusive Talent Recruiter)

The workshop is where your journey begins.

The Creative Pro Workshop is hosted live and online. It consists of four 90-minute sessions delivered over four days. You will learn together in small groups of just eight participants, and in breakout rooms where you can practice with peers.

The topics we will cover include:

Day 1: How do you move from generalist to expert practitioner?

  • How do you position yourself in the market?
  • What does your audience want from you? What do you want from them?
  • Shaping perceptions across all communications.

Day 2: How do you unlock opportunity?

  • The clarifying conversations.
  • Diagnosing the most persistent and frustrating problem.
  • Phased engagements.

Day 3: How do you make a compelling case?

  • Writing clearly, confidently, and authentically.
  • The one-page proposal.
  • Process-framed case studies.

Day 4: How do you price your services?

  • Understand different methods of calculating your value.
  • How to move from time-and-materials to value-based pricing.
  • The psychology of pricing.

All sessions will be recorded and shared – in case you encounter a scheduling conflict or wish to review later.

Additionally, you will be invited to join a private Slack channel for workshop attendees only. Here, you can ask questions, share your struggles and successes, and get help when you need it – during and after the workshop is over.

You’ll leave with actionable advice and a newfound sense of confidence.

As a creative and talented professional, you help people envision a desired future state, and then bring that future into being. You deliver value that exceeds expectations, and clients trust you.

But sometimes it feels like something is missing. Perhaps you’re losing projects, don’t enjoy the kind of work you’re getting, or the way you’ve been working just doesn’t suit you any more.

The Creative Pro Workshop provides the tools and frameworks needed to become a better, more confident version of your professional self.

Dan is a consummate professional. While the product of his work often takes the form of communication design, his approach extends far beyond that as a strategic thinker, tactical planner, and team leader. – Doug P. (Executive Design Leader)

Dan used research-propelled observations and super-human listening skills to unearth the core of what we do. For us, the cumulative experience was more than just messaging or just strategy. It was showing us our potential. – Steve W. (Nonprofit Executive)

Dan immersed himself in our organization to understood the direction we were going. There was never backtracking or missteps; we were able to work in stride together. His advice was clear and actionable, and became guiding principles in our office. – Brett J. (Communications Director)
